[Reviews] Aeon Gods - Reborn To Light

Aeon Gods - Reborn To Light

In January we received symphonic metal albums from Beyond The Black and Edenbridge. On February 20, 2026, this year's power metal gap was filled with release of the German Aeon Gods' second studio album "Reborn To Light". It was released just 18 months after their debut album and the first single from new album was "" being new entry on week 9 of new versioned Stef Metal Chart. Here are some sentances from other reviews of "Reborn To Light".

(...) At the end of 2024, (...), Aeon Gods dropped a debut (King of Gods, retelling the plights of Mesopotamian gods and heroes) that got little attention but reminded me I like power metal. (...) Aeon Gods writes big songs for big stages, no doubt aiming for arena audiences. They’ve got the look (seriously, what a look!); they’ve got the sound; all they need is the crowd. (...) Reborn to Light presents bright, boisterous, paeans to Re (aka Ra) of ancient Egyptian mythology. These battle-forged hymns burst out the gate with huge symphonic measurements, dynamic rise and fall, a driving double-kick, and catchy, powerful vocals belted by founder, leader and composer Alex “Sol’Ra-tu” Hunzinger(...)
Metal Epidemic 3.5/5
"If you’re looking for some fantasy driven escapism of symphonic power metal that is steeped in mythology, then you can look no further than German outfit AEON GODS. Following on from their debut King Of Gods in 2024, Reborn To Light is a triumphant follow up that is a fun romp from start to finish. It’s not the most original sounding album you’ve ever heard, but it will scratch that niche genre you’re after with a fun amount of silliness that comes with these sorts of records.(...)"
Distorted Sound 7/10
"When it comes to the vast pantheons of mythological figures, Aeon Gods is clearly interested in the most powerful. Their 2024 debut album, King of Gods, expounded upon the mighty deities of Mesopotamia with plenty of power metal bombast. Now, less than 18 months later, this German five-piece turns their attention to ancient Egypt. Specifically, Reborn to Light orbits the sun god Re (more commonly known today as Ra). (...)
Reborn to Light may be about a sun god, but Aeon Gods is more similar to the moon reflecting the light of many important power metal forebears. (...)

Angry Metal Guy 3.0 / 5.0
"(...) Aeon Gods is the name of the gang. And they perform all those horrible, lactose-generating actions that will make them hairy acolytes of the metal underground cringe in horror.
Reborn to Light, they called their endeavor. And it talks about – wait for it – the old Egyptian gods. (...) the Germans from Aeon Gods live the dream. Their vertiginous idea of exuberant Metal o’ The Light will rush forth where others never went before.
Reborn To Light comes stuffed chock-full of speedy excursions into the lore of ancient Egypt. Singalong rhapsodies full of wild and positive energy will run over you like a giddy avalanche of happily chanting Ushaptis1, come to life here to frolick about as they wish. Shred fests, wild bridges, loud ‘n’ bold riffing, the odd acid solo here and there, the axemen make sure they’re heard and that they won’t take no prisoners. This is a top-notch performance, measured, and right on point with the songs at hand.(...)

Louder 4/5
"I’ve said it many times before, but every once in a while I’ll suddenly come across great new music from a band I previously never even knew existed, and it never stops being exciting every time it happens! The latest case is German power metal band Aeon Gods. Before I received a promo for their upcoming sophomore record, Reborn to Light, I didn’t know a single thing about the band. It took less than a minute into the explosive opening track “Birth of Light” for me to realize I had discovered a winner, and digging deeper into the album only proved to be even more rewarding. (...)"
