All For Metal - Gods Of Metal (Year Of The Dragon) - review

All For Metal - Gods Of Metal

As we announced earlier, on August 23rd, 2024 All For Metal's second studio album "Gods Of Metal (Year Of The Dragon)" was released. That German-Italian band was formed in 2022 and released their debut after a year. From "Legends" comes "", the song that still keeps place at Stef Metal Chart, and having it in my mind I was expecting above averange album. You must read the rest below to find out if it really is like that. However for new album the band recorded 10 new composition, additionaly started and ended by female narration.

As I mentioned above, starts and ends with calm narrations with celtic style music background in "Cry For Help (Intro)" and "The Journey Will Not End (Outro)". After intro there come two title tracks - "" (placed 21st on week 120 of Stef Metal Chart) and "Year of the Dragon". In my opinion they are two of weaker songs on the album. First of them quite fast with some rhythmic riff in verse. Second of them is a little calmer with Japan style intro and more melodic vocal parts in the chorus. Next track "The Way of the Samurai" is some more interesting - it is also some kind Japan style, little faster and harder. But the best part of the album is its middle part. Starts with faster and harder sixth on tracklist "When Monsters Roar", with speeding drums at beginning. Later we get eighth "Like Thor and Loki" - quite fast but making faster in later parts. Ninth is fast "Valkyries In The Sky" (featuring Laura Guldemond from Burning Witches and Tim Hansen from Induction, son of Helloween's guitarist Kai Hansen) where some interesting rhythmic riffs are included. And tenth "Welcome" must be counted to the group of the best songs too. It is heavier and little slower but has some more technical guitar riffs.
Overall I have to say that this is interesting album, really worth of listening.
